Danks is the host of a popular sports talk show in Portland, ME. He is also the voice of the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League, and dabbles in writing for a few different sites.
His first WVU sports memory was the Fiesta Bowl loss to Notre Dame. He cheered for the Mountaineers due to his annoying brother, an Irish fan. 20+ years later he enrolled at WVU and watched Rich Rod take the Mighty Mountaineers to a 3-8 record. And then Gale Catlett went 8-20. Great first year.
His all-time favorite Mountaineers are Mike Gansey and Pat White.
When not doing the whole media thing you can find him bowling, sailing, golfing, drinking an Old Fashioned or hanging with his wife and cats.
Even though he’s a Mainer he can’t stand lobster.
